Brainfluence Price Drop and Reviews

Brainfluence: 100 Ways to Persuade and Convince Consumers with NeuromarketingGood news for ebook readers, at least in the U.S. After spending some time at almost $15, the Kindle version of Brainfluence  has dropped to its introductory price of $9.99.

I don’t control this and I get no notice of these changes, so I can’t say how long this lower will last. If you have a Kindle or use one of the free Kindle reading apps, grab your copy before it flips back again! (Prices outside the US may vary, sorry!)

From Amazon:

I came away from this book with more than a hundred ideas I can test or just put to work in fundraising. If even a small percentage of these ideas improve results, my clients stand to make the price of the book hundreds of times over in the coming months… It’s an easy, quick, enjoyable read, and you’ll get ideas you can use.

Roger – I love the accessibility of Brainfluence and how rich it is with marketing insight and information. It’s definitely one of the most useful marketing books that I have read and I enthusiastically recommend it to anyone who hasn’t yet. Well worth 15 dollars but a bargain at 10, though you describe why 9.99 is more appealing in the book, right?

There are a few things from the book going on, Jim. There’s two decimal precision pricing that implies a higher value than would $10, and there are the multiple anchor points of the list price ($24.95) and the hardcover ($15.96). One might even consider the hardcover to be a decoy product to make the current $9.99 Kindle version look reasonable. (Of course, BOTH are reasonable! ;)) There’s even a poorly exploited scarcity effect since the lower price may expire at some point!

Glad you found the book useful, Jim!

Limited time or not, thanks for the heads up. It would be nice to have a mobile version of the book even if you have a hard-copy.

I’m kind of torn on the paper vs. ebook for business books. I love the portability and searchability of ebooks, though, and I’m getting used to using the Kindle highlighting and note-taking features.

I haven’t purchased any books yet for my kindle, as I use it mostly as a tablet, but this might just have to be the first!

Will the book ever be available as an audiobook? Sometimes I buy both the Kindle ebook and the audiobook versions of books I really like so I can have access to them anywhere.

I can’t say for sure, Gari, but I hope so! I think audio books are great for the car and working out.
