About Roger Dooley

head-11-300I’m Roger Dooley, and I’ve been writing here at Neuromarketing for more than 10 years. My focus is on helping you market and sell better using brain science and behavior research.

While marketing may be the primary topic, I also run across interesting research to help you be more productive. So, from time to time I share science-based productivity tips, plus my own strategies and tools.

I’ve been an entrepreneur for decades, and am now primarily a writer. I do keynote speeches and very limited consulting, too.

Read Me

BrainfluenceMy book Brainfluence: 100 Ways to Persuade and Convince Consumers with Neuromarketing, was published by Wiley in 2011.

My current project is The Persuasion Slide, a short book about my model for the persuasion process. Scheduled for Summer, 2015.

ForbesIn addition to writing here, I also write the Brainy Marketing column at Forbes.com.

Meet Me

Keynote, Frankfurt, GermanyI enjoy meeting my readers around the world. In the last year, I’ve done speeches in Sydney, Stockholm, Moscow, and many other locations. (See speaking engagements, reviews, etc.).

Each of my talks is tailored to the interests of the audience, although the theme is always related to science-based business strategies. I’ve spoken to such diverse audiences as digital marketers, human resource executives, conversion specialists, advertising creatives, and IT resellers.

Listen to Me (and Smart People)

roger-podcast-igA year-old venture is The Brainfluence Podcast. Each week, I have a conversation with a world-class expert in marketing, science, or a related area. Recent guests include Robert Cialdini, Dan Pink, Guy Kawasaki, and Dan Ariely.

I’m a college football fan, and have made the University of Tennessee (where I got my business degree) Vols my official team. My undergrad school, Carnegie Mellon U, is known for many things… but not football, at least in the modern era.

For five years, I’ve been based in Austin, Texas. Awesome city, great people, outstanding tech scene.
