Pubcon 2012 (Las Vegas, October 16 – 18, 2012), the big gathering of digital marketers and web site operators of all kinds, has a persuasion theme this year! Primary keynote speaker will be Robert Cialdini, author of the classic Influence: The Psychology of Persuasion and Yes! 50 Scientifically Proven Ways to Be Persuasive, among others. Cialdini has advanced the psychology of persuasion tremendously, and I’m really looking forward to hearing him speak. Cialdini has “influenced” my own work a lot, and I acknowledge him in the intro to my book Brainfluence!
I’ll be doing a spotlight session too, with a focus on improving website conversion with brain & behavior-based strategies. I’ll be signing copies of Brainfluence, too!
Pubcon is truly a conference with something for everyone – this year, there are nine simultaneous tracks. The biggest problem attendees will have is deciding which to choose from. Other keynotes are from Google’s Matt Cutts and Path’s Shakil Khan.
